Washington-area home prices posted the smallest year-over-year decline in the nation in June, showing again our real estate resilience.
Property values in the Washington area fell on average 1.2 percent in June from the year before in the latest 20-city S&P/Case Shiller Home Price Index. The Washington Business Journal says nationwide, average prices in the past 12 months fell 4.5 percent. Minneapolis suffered the largest yearly decline with average prices falling 10.8 percent.
