May 18: Tourism Rebounds

More than 15.5 million people visited the Nation's Capital last year -- that's up 5 percent from 2009. And all those extra people mean a big boost for the local economy -- according to the Washington Business Journal it could mean an extra $623 million in new tax dollars for the city's hospitality sector. One industry leader says this shows that the importance of the local tourism industry can't be discounted.
