Body of missing girl, 11, found in Md. river; apparent drowning

WASHINGTON — The body of a missing 11-year-old girl was found in the Wicomico River on Sunday afternoon.

The Charles County police say that they were called at about 2 p.m. by some boaters reporting that they had found a body on the Charles County side of the Wicomico River at Rock Point Road in Newburg.

The police determined that the body was that of Faith Lee, who was reported missing on Friday in St. Mary’s County. She apparently drowned, they say.

St. Mary’s sheriffs are continuing to investigate.
