WALDORF, Md. - The Charles County Sheriff's Office says a 33-year-old man shot and critically injured his mother and stepfather before killing himself at a Waldorf home.
Officials say they were called to the home on Seagrape Court about 5 a.m. Tuesday by a woman who said her son was arguing with his stepfather. The sheriff's office says the mother and stepfather were found lying in the street outside the home, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both were taken to a hospital and were in critical but stable condition Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities later entered the home and found Shea Camya Proctor dead of a gunshot wound. A handgun was recovered from the scene.
The sheriff's office says it's unclear what led to the argument and that the investigation is continuing.
