Teen struck and killed on Route 228

WASHINGTON - A 14-year-old boy was killed Saturday afternoon while trying to cross busy Route 228 in Charles County.

It happened just west of US 301 in Waldorf. The incident happened around 1pm.

The driver of the car that struck and killed the teen stayed at the scene. The driver was not charged.
