Restaurant app caters to iPad users

WASHINGTON – Gone are the days of long waiting lines and customers holding buzzers in restaurants.

With NoshList, a free app for the iPad, waiting around for a table has been simplified. Patrons do not need to crowd a restaurant, but are free to walk around the town on their own until they get a call or a text saying their table is ready.

The app has only been out a few months, but more than 1 million people have been seated since its debut in February, TechCrunch reports.

A broad variety of restaurants have utilized the app, from small diners to large chains. The app only requires hosts to have an iPad, making it easy for them to add, seat, remove and even call customers, just by pushing a button.
