Neal Augenstein and Nathan Hager discuss NME's top 100 music video list, and talk about their favorites.

Neal Augenstein & Nathan Hager,

WASHINGTON - Think of some of the best music videos of all time. What comes to mind?

Many of us remember Kanye West crashing Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards, ranting that Beyonce's "Single Ladies" was "one of the best videos of all time."

But it's not even in the top 100, according to Britain's NME Magazine.

The publication just put out a list of the "100 Greatest Music Videos" to celebrate the launch of a new music video website it's launched.

Michael Jackson, whom many consider one of the great innovators of promotional musical films, only has one clip on this list: "Billie Jean." And it's at number 100!

"Thriller," which Jackson himself thought was too good to be called a music video (he termed it a "short film") is nowhere to be found on this list.

Here's NME's top 10:

  1. The Prodigy, "Smack My B---h Up"
  2. Sigur Ros, "Vidrar Vel Til Loftarasa"
  3. Beastie Boys, "Sabotage"
  4. Weezer, "Buddy Holly"
  5. Foo Fighters, "Everlong"
  6. Bjork, "It's Oh So Quiet"
  7. Soundgarden, "Black Hole Sun"
  8. Chris Isaak, "Wicked Game"
  9. Radiohead, "Just"
  10. Johnny Cash, "Hurt"

Got any videos better than these? We know you do.
