WASHINGTON - Futurist Thomas Frey believes what Napa Valley is to wine, Washington State and Colorado will be to America's emerging marijuana industry.
The prediction is just one of many from Frey, who writes for The Futurist, a magazine of forecasts, trends and ideas about the future.
He also predicts the outsourcing trend among U.S. businesses will completely turn around and become an insourcing trend. Multidimensional literacy - the ability to keep up with social media, operate the latest devices and record and edit videos - will be crucial to getting a job, Frey claims.
He also predicts more and more cars and trucks will be powered by liquid or compressed natural gas.
Read more about his predictions, and the reasoning behind them, at the World Future Society website.
