A look at some of the worst sports movie sequels that Hollywood has churned out. BleacherReport took to IMDB.com to gather the worst sequels based on user ratings.

AUTOPLAY
10. This 1997 sequel to the original "Angels in the Outfield" was a made-for-TV movie produced by Disney. Christopher Lloyd ("Doc" from "Back to the Future") played the boss Angel and David Gallagher (who would later go on to be "Simon" in "7th Heaven") stars as the younger brother to a football hero who quits the game following their father's death. The movie earned a whopping 4.6 stars out of 10 on IMDB.com
9. The 2001 sequel "MVP: Most Vertical Primate" continues the first film featuring Jack, the sports-playing chimpanzee. "MVP 2" opens with Jack being kicked off of his hockey team. But banking on a monkey to carry the lead of a movie is quite the stretch. The movie earned a whopping 2.7 out of 10 stars on IMDB.com
8. Ralph Macchio stuck around for three editions of "The Karate Kid." So you can't blame the guy for bailing on number four. Rather than close the dojo, producers turned to Hillary Swank. Mr. Miyagi patiently teaches the same old techniques to "The Next Karate Kid" in this never-should-have-been-made sequel. The movie earned a dismal 3.9 out of 10 stars on IMDB.com
7. "The Sandlot" is cited as one of the most influential coming-of-age movies about baseball by many movie-goers. "The Sandlot 2" -- not so much. Producers are hoping the audience will fall in love with a whole new cast of characters. Unfortunately, it didn't work out. The movie earned 4.1 stars out of 10 on IMDB.com
6. Emilio Estevez returns for "D3: The Mighty Ducks," but why? Based on its 4.7 stars out of 10 rating on IMDB.com, it seems the public agrees. The franchise should have probably stopped at two
5. This movie, starring Stephen Baldwin, was released in 2002, 25 years after the original. The 1977 movie starred the iconic Paul Newman. Replacing Newman with a Baldwin. Really? Audiences agreed, giving the sequel 4.3 stars out of 10 on IMDB.com
4. The original "Bad News Bears" starred a curmudgeonly Walter Matthau. "The Bad News Bears Go To Japan," the third installment in the series, features Tony Curtis as a small time promoter/hustler. IMDB.com users gave the third movie 3.1 stars out of 10 stars
3. There was no Charlie Sheen or Tom Berenger. Even with Corbin Bernsen, "Major League 3: Back to the Minors" just doesn't match up to the first two movies. IMDB.com users gave the movie 4.1 stars out of 10, far below the 6.9 they gave the original
2. Most fans of the Rocky franchise don't hesitate when asked which sequel was the worst. Overwhelmingly, fans choose "Rocky V," the 1990 release that features Rocky Balboa taking on a new protégé. It's also the first Rocky film that featured Stallone's son, Sage. IMDB.com users gave the movie 4.7 stars out of 10
1. It could be because they're missing Bill Murray and Rodney Dangerfield. Or it could be the new writers and producers that led to "Caddyshack 2" not be as good as the classic "Caddyshack." It's hard to improve on perfection, which is how many see the original film. Eight years wasn't enough time for movie fans to forget how great the first movie was. IMDB.com users gave the sequel 3.4 stars out of 10
