Predictions
Should Win: Lupita Nyong'o

If you hadn't heard of Lupita Nyong'o before "12 Years a Slave," you'll be rooting for her intensely after seeing it. Her powerhouse performance as the focus of Michael Fassbender's viciousness is unforgettable.

Could Win: Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence was brilliant in "American Hustle," introducing another phrase to our collective vocabulary: "The science oven." Her character's perfume embodies everything we love about "American Hustle" - the sweet smell of success with just a hint of trash.

Will Win: Lupita Nyong'o

While Lawrence was the early favorite with her Golden Globe win, Nyong'o has come on strong down the stretch, winning the SAG and BFCA awards for best supporting actress. While Lawrence recently won the BAFTA awards, the academy just gave her a statue last year. It could look elsewhere this time. This could be the tightest race of the night.(YouTube/WTOP)
