BALTIMORE (AP) -- Baltimore police are looking for a man who stabbed a stranger on a Greyhound bus and left the vehicle yelling that he had AIDS.
Police were called to the bus, which was traveling from Atlantic City, N.J. to Washington, as it was stopped on Russell Street about 9:40 p.m. Thursday.
Officers say a man came out of the bathroom, pulled out a knife and began stabbing a woman. The woman's companion began punching the attacker, who got off the bus shouting that he had AIDS.
Police say the suspect tried to get back on the bus, but the driver had closed the doors. He ran toward a wooded area.
Officers say the woman, who was stabbed in her neck and stomach, was taken to a hospital and rushed into surgery.
