BALTIMORE -- Police say a man is dead after exchanging gunfire with officers in southeast Baltimore.
Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi (goog-lee-EL-mee) says officers were responding to a domestic disturbance call around 11:50 p.m. Thursday when they heard gunshots.
An officer found an armed man who was suspected having just shot and wounded a family member.
Guglielmi says the man and officers got into what he described as a running gun battle. During the shooting, Guglielmi says the suspect was shot and later died at a hospital. His name was not immediately released.
Guglielmi says two other women were hit by gunfire during the incident but their injuries were not life-threatening.
The shooting remains under investigation.
