CHENEY, Wash. (AP) — Eastern Washington has decided to play its first game of the season early, real early.
The Eagles will host Texas Southern on Nov. 14, and tip-off is at 8 a.m.
Coach Jim Hayford says his team is eager to start the season, so they decided not to wait until evening to play the game.
The game was originally scheduled for 6 p.m., and Texas Southern agreed to the switch.
The move allows Eastern Washington to host the first NCAA Division I game of the season, and to have the game regionally broadcast.
