PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- DaShaun Wiggins scored 21 points and Aaron Moore added 16 as Portland State defeated UC Davis 79-63 Sunday.
The Vikings (4-1) held a two-point lead late in the first half, but closed on a 10-4 surge to lead 40-32 at the break. They moved out to a 15-point lead in the second half as Moore netted a pair of jumpers and Marcus Hall hit a 3-pointer.
UC Davis (3-3) looked to crawl back when Corey Hawkins drained two 3-pointers and a jumper, and Ryan Sypkens made two free throws to cut the deficit to seven.
Portland State responded, with Tim Douglas making a triple and a jumper to put their lead back to double digits.
Andrew Winston Jr. scored 15 points and Douglas had 14 with a game-high six assists for the Vikings.
Corey Hawkins paced the Aggies with 23 points and was 9 of 23 from the field.
