Andrews’ 2 TD runs lead Wagner over CCSU 20-10

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) — Chris Andrews ran two 3-yard keepers for touchdowns and Wagner won its third straight in a 20-10 victory over Central Connecticut State on Saturday.

Andrews’ first touchdown run made it 10-0 early in the second quarter and his second built the Wagner lead to 17-7 early in the third. He finished with 84 yards rushing on 17 carries and threw for another 96 yards to lead Wagner (4-3, 2-0 Northeast Conference) in both categories.

Otis Wright added 77 yards on 18 carries, Lloyd Smith had four catches for 61 yards and Jarrett Dieudonne had two of the Seahawks’ three interceptions to secure the win.

Wagner outrushed the Blue Devils 175-97, although CCSU (2-6, 0-3) had a 331-271 edge in total offense.

Nick SanGiacomo was 11 of 20 for 187 yards. His 69-yard touchdown pass to Tyrell Holmes brought the Blue Devils within 10-7 midway through the second quarter.
