Harvard beats Lafayette 24-14

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) — Scott Hosch threw for 203 yards and two touchdowns, including a 78-yarder to Andrew Fischer, to lead unbeaten Harvard to a 24-14 win Saturday over Lafayette.

Harvard (5-0) kept Lafayette scoreless in the first half and led 24-0 midway through the third quarter before Hosch threw an interception that Phillip Parham ran back 35 yards for the Leopards first score.

Fischer finished with six catches for 107 yards and Paul Stanton Jr. had 102 yards rushing on 17 carries for the Crimson, who have won nine straight games stretching back to last season.

Lafayette (3-4) outgained Harvard in total yardage, 440 to 367, but struggled getting into scoring position and missed 41- and 26-yard field goals.

Ross Scheuerman led the Leopards with 105 yards rushing on 20 carries and hauled in eight catches for 125 yards.
