WHAT’S AT STAKE
Missouri is looking to start 4-0 before traveling to South Carolina to open a stretch of eight consecutive games against Southeastern Conference competition. Indiana wants to rebound heading into Big Ten play after losing 45-42 last week at Bowling Green.
KEY MATCHUP
Missouri’s DEs against Indiana RB Tevin Coleman, who gained 190 yards on the ground and scored a career-high three touchdowns last week. He averages 9.3 yards per carry and leads the country with 218.5 rushing yards per game. The Tigers’ Markus Golden and Shane Ray have combined for 14 tackles for loss, including nine sacks, this season, and their pressure helped Missouri force Central Florida commit four second-half turnovers.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Indiana: QB Nate Sudfeld completed 31 of 41 passes last week for 347 yards and one touchdown, and rushed for two more scores. The junior ranks first in school history in completion percentage (62.0).
Missouri: RBs Russell Hansbrough (head) and Marcus Murphy (ankle) have combined for 462 of the team’s 570 rushing yards this season, but both players exited in the fourth quarter of last week’s game with injuries. They are expected back this week.
