CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) -- Clemson University Police have arrested an 18-year-old North Carolina man, charging him with vandalizing the school's beloved Howard's Rock.

Police said Micah Rogers, of Pisgah Forest, was charged Friday with felony malicious injury to personal property and misdemeanor trespassing.

Clemson Police Capt. Eric Hendricks said Rogers was identified after video was released of a pickup outside the stadium when the rock was vandalized June 2. Other people were on the video. Hendricks says the investigation is ongoing.

Hendricks say Rogers has Clemson memorabilia in his home.

Police say the missing piece of the rock that football players rub before games hasn't been found.

Rogers' lawyer Frank Eppes says the teen agreed to meet with police after recognizing his truck. Epps said he didn't want to talk about the case's details.
