TOWSON, Md. - Sophomore Terrance West ran for three scores to set Towson's career rushing touchdown record, and the Tigers handled St. Francis (Pa.) 46-17 on Saturday at Johnny Unitas Stadium.
West, who ran for 62 yards on eight carries, has rushed for 34 career rushing touchdowns in only 14 games.
Senior quarterback Grant Enders completed 14-of-18 passes for 179 yards and two touchdowns for Towson (2-1).
Sophomore Derrick Joseph piled up 148 yards on two kickoff returns, including one for 99 yards in the first quarter. It was the second-longest kickoff return in Towson history, 1 yard short of Dave Meggett's 100-yard touchdown return in 1988.
Towson outgained St. Francis (2-2) 441-233 in total yards and scored all four times it reached the red zone.
Towson has its work cut out next week: It plays at LSU in Baton Rouge.
