WASHINGTON - The hot ticket for this weekend seems to be for "Hunger Games - Catching Fire."
That said, the first showing at the Uptown Theater in Northwest D.C. Thursday evening certainly wasn't packed. Also, there were few if any dressed up in Hunger Games garb. It was more akin to a very suburban-like subdued audience.
Of those I spoke with most agreed with Zach Sosland of D.C.
"I like it, it reminded me a lot of the books - go see it!"
Bella Ortiz of D.C. couldn't hold back her enthusiasm: "Totally awesome, I loved it. I read all the books and waited so long.
One of her friends said Ortiz not only waited a year and a half for this one, but even had a countdown clock going.
Rebecca from Burke, Va. in Fairfax County called it, "A good sequel."
But another audience member, Frank from Silver Spring, found "Catching Fire" "intense and obviously setup the third one."
And that was from someone who may be one of the last people on earth who hasn't read the books.
