Restoration begins this month on Martha Washington's Waxwork Tableau -- a rare work of wax, seashells, silk and wood classical miniature scene created for George and Martha Washington more than 225 years ago. Click here for a video of the tableau It is being tenderly shipped from its home at Tudor Place Historic House and Gardens to the studio of a waxworks expert, commencing a $37,400 restoration funded by The Richard C. von Hess Foundation of Philadelphia.
