Shoplitfter who peppered sprayed workers sentenced

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — A woman who pepper sprayed two people while shoplifting boots from a store has been sentenced to 3 years in prison.

Twenty-five- year-old Cierra Scott of Brooklyn Park pleaded guilty to robbery and reckless endangerment. The Capital of Annapolis reports (http://bit.ly/1uIA1vy) that she was sentenced Tuesday in Circuit Court in Annapolis.

Prosecutors say on Jan. 12, Scott tried to steal a pair of boots from Off Broadway Shoes in Arundel Mills Mall. Authorities say when a manager confronted Scott outside of the store, she pepper sprayed him and threatened him with a knife.

Prosecutors say a loss prevention officer encountered Scott outside the mall, and she sprayed him as well.
