Md. police looking for suspect in alleged sex offense

WASHINGTON – Police are looking for a suspect who committed an alleged sexual offense on a 9-year-old girl in the Lake Shore community of Pasadena.

Anne Arundel County Police say the girl was walking home from Lake Shore Elementary school between 3 and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14 through the Riding Woods neighborhood when a male suspect grabbed her and pulled her into a wooded area, where the sex offense occurred.

Police did not provide any more details about the sex offense.

Detectives have released a composite sketch of the suspect and are seeking information regarding anyone matching the suspect’s description.

Police say there have been no reports of suspicious persons or activities in the community. They have increased patrols in the area and will have additional patrols during school hours through the week.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 35-40 years, five feet 11 inches tall, weighing 175 to 200 pounds, clean shaven with a bald head. He was last seen wearing a brown and yellow jacket, black shirt and black pants.
