PASADENA, Md. - Authorities are releasing the name of a man who died in a crash after speeding and driving erratically in Anne Arundel County.
Maryland State Police identified the man as 50-year-old Brian McNutt of Glen Burnie. Police say he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say McNutt was speeding and swerving on Route 10 on Wednesday afternoon when he was spotted by the trooper, who was stopped on the shoulder. As McNutt passed the trooper, authorities say he lost control of the truck and spun around.
Police say the trooper tried to pull the truck over, but McNutt sped away and took Route 100. Authorities say McNutt then struck a guardrail and a tree.
Police say McNutt's driver's license had been revoked in Maryland since at least 2008.
