The cool down has begun and it keeps dropping for the rest of the week. You'll want a jacket all day long.  The good news is that it will be calm today with plenty of sunshine. The high in D.C. will be around 60 degrees. Not too far off the average high of 64. A few clouds are expected overnight, then partly sunny for your Halloween.  The good news is that latest timing has rain showers holding off until after trick-or-treat.

Trick or Treat Forecast

The weekend will feature the biggest changes.  Expect showers at times on Saturday, especially in the morning.  It will be cold and windy behind the cold front. Skirt Alert for sure Saturday and at least a heads up for breezy on Sunday. Expect snow showers in the higher elevations in the mountains far west on Saturday.  Chances are very low for any accumulation in the WJLA viewing area, including Garrett County, MD.  You could see a flake or two in Front Royal, Strasburg and Luray but it would be conversational, not impactful.  Highs will be in the 40s to low 50s on Saturday and I think it will tough for anyone to break 50 on Sunday.  At least we'll have plenty of sunshine on Sunday.  Temperatures moderate next week.
