Frederick man faces drug charges

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) — A Frederick man is facing drug charges after an off-duty police officer spotted a recreational vechicle being driven erratically.

Authorities say the officer was near Woodville Rd. and Rt. 144 on Monday afternoon when he saw the RV swerving in the roadway and nearly causing several collisions.

Police say they pulled over 56-year-old Paul John Morcone and found him with suspected marijuana. Officials say a subsequent search found other drugs, including amphetamine, methadone, bath salts, oxycodone and cocaine.

Morcone is charged with several counts of possession with intent to distribute.
