WASHINGTON - The long Memorial Day weekend is approaching, with many people planning to fire up the grill.
Before you load the grill, avoid these rookie BBQ mistakes.
- Don't put everything on the grill at once. It's tempting but remember, everything could burn at once too.
- Space out the food, paying close attention to fatty foods. They tend to cause flare-ups.
- Raise the grill, so it is farther from the coals. It may take a little longer, but it's worth it.
