Officials: New Mexico bus driver had sex on job

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — A bus driver in New Mexico’s largest city was fired after surveillance cameras caught him in a sex act with a woman while at work, Albuquerque transportation official said.

According to the video, the driver stopped at a park and ride on the morning of May 6 and a woman walked onto the bus without paying her fare, KOAT-TV reports (http://goo.gl/U8lcJw). On the video, Alex Gonzales is heard saying, “You know what time it is!”

There was no one else on the bus, according to the video.

After the act, Gonzales said, “Man, if I could sell that I could make a million dollars.”

Officials say a patron pushing a baby stroller saw the lewd act and filed a complaint.

The driver, 14-year veteran with the city, was fired last week following an investigation.

“I was raised to be a gentleman,” Albuquerque Ride spokesman Rick De Reyes said. “And I’m hoping I’m keeping up to that standard. For me to describe what’s on this video makes me very uncomfortable.”

It wasn’t known if Gonzales had an attorney.
