Crash spills thousands of corn dogs on Louisiana interstate (Video)

WASHINGTON — Louisiana commuters may have been Jonesing for ketchup and mustard after a crash caused thousands of corn dogs to spill onto an interstate earlier this week.

A semi-truck loaded with corn dogs crashed and covered a section of Interstate 220 in Shreveport, La., Tuesday morning, according to New Orleans’ WWLTV. The interstate, which was covered with about 40,000 Foster Farms corn dogs, closed to traffic.

People in the area took the opportunity to snatch up the free food.

“There were some reports that passersby were coming in and loading up on some of those corn dogs for dinner,” Cpl. Marcus Hines told WWLTV. “It’s been a big mess but a lot of folks will be eating pretty good this afternoon.”

No one was injured in the crash.
