WASHINGTON -- The strays of Sochi have been a big part of the Winter Olympics coverage, especially after reports that city hall had ordered the killing of all strays before the games.
Since then, many people have been smuggling the dogs out of town.
One U.S. Olympian is working to legally bring four puppies home with him to the United States.
Freestyle skier Gus Kenworthy tweeted a couple of photos showing off a litter of stray pups:

Kenworthy tweeted the next day that he was working to bring the puppies home with him:
Also, for the people wondering, I've lined up kennels 4 the pups & made vaccination appointments. Doing all I can to bring them home w/ me!— Gus Kenworthy (@guskenworthy) February 12, 2014
