8-year-old with cancer nets 4 goals against Portland Timbers (Video)

WASHINGTON – Atticus Lane-Dupre, an 8-year-old with cancer, made his wish, and the Portland Timbers fulfilled it.

The boy found out about his cancer in 2011 and missed the last game with his soccer team.

As part of wish through Make-A-Wish Oregon — and before a crowd of more than 3,000 at JELD-WEN Field this week, the Portland Timbers faced off with The Green Machine, Lane-Dupre’s team.

Lane-Dupre netted four goals — including the game-winner — in the 10-9 victory.
