WASHINGTON – When it comes to vacations, some like to drive to their destinations. Others take a train or even a boat. Two daredevils decided to fly, but not commercially.
Norwegian parachuter Jokke Sommer and Ludovic Woerth, from France, strapped themselves into “wingsuits” and soared into Rio de Janeiro with nothing but their parachutes for protection. They even dodged a building along the way.
Because the stunt wasn’t exactly legal, they did it at 5:45 a.m., just before the first commercial flights arrive at 6:05 a.m., Sommer writes on his YouTube channel.
