WASHINGTON – Seattle made the Guinness Book of World Records on Saturday when nearly 6,000 Seattleites got together to stage the world’s biggest snowball fight — ousting the previous record-holder, The Republic of Korea.
More than 160,000 pounds of snow were trucked in for the event, during which scores of people suffered welts and bloody noses, reports Seattlepi.com.
Some came well-prepared, however, armored with helmets, ski goggles and makeshift shields.
