National Donut Day will feed you for free

WASHINGTON – It’s National Donut Day and to celebrate — you’re getting free doughnuts.

Krispy Kreme and LaMar’s are offering a free doughnut to anyone and everyone. There’s no purchase necessary.

Dunkin Donuts will hand out a free treat with the purchase of a beverage.

Market Watch reports that free coffee and doughnuts will be handed out at a special event in Madison Square Park where the largest box of Entenmann’s Donuts ever will be unveiled.

Donut Day is a tradition dating back to 1938 and is meant to honor those who served during World War I.
