JetBlue offers $55 flights out of Reagan National

WASHINGTON – Travelers, here’s a deal you may want to jump on quickly. JetBue is offering $55 flights out of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

The flights will go to four or JetBlue’s five nonstop locations: Boston; Fort Lauderdale; Orlando; and Tampa.

Of course, there are lots of restrictions and fine print.

The flights are only available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between Nov. 12 and Dec. 18, and you need to book on Nov. 12, today.

JetBlue is offering the deal to make a point. It doesn’t think American and US Airways should control 68 percent of the airline slots out of the airport under their merger, USA TODAY reports. A slot in airport terminology is the right to a single takeoff or landing at an airport. A pair of slots would be round-trip flight.
