Sunday is the last day for the state's sales tax holiday, with school supplies that cost $20 or less qualifying for the offer.
Some clothes and shoes also won't be taxed, provided they cost $100 or less per item.
Jewelry, purses, briefcases and a host of other items will not get the exemption.
Virginia spells out all of the allowances and restrictions on its August Sales Tax Holiday page.
