Kristi King,

WASHINGTON - Half the trick to saving big bucks on vacation is knowing where to find good deals.

The U.S. Travel Association has a collection of discount offers on everything from theme parks to hotel stays and car rentals for cities near and far.

There's a trick to getting the deals though. Each deeply discounted offer is available for only a limited number of people to purchase. And each offer is only available to purchase at a specific time on a specific date.

Some of the deals allow you to purchase loyalty points at rates far lower than the purchasing power they represent.

  • April 25, at 1 p.m. ET -- Spend $825 to get 150,000 Hilton HHonors™ Bonus Points to use for a three-night stay at any participating Hilton Hotel worldwide. The estimated value for that deal is $1,500.

  • April 26, at 1 p.m. ET -- Buy a two night stay for two at the Piazza View Suite at The Venetian in Las Vegas for $540. The estimated value is $980. Fifty deals are available. Buyers have until April 1, 2013 to use the vouchers.

  • April 13, at 1 p.m. -- Buy discounted tickets for Busch Gardens Theme Park in Williamsburg, Va. Tickets usually cost $86. The site is selling 1,156 tickets for $45 each. Buyers have to use the tickets before April 30.

Bargain hunters can try to cash in on daily deals every weekday through May 11. Purchases made with American Express credit cards receive an additional 10 percent discount.
