WASHINGTON -- There's something special about watching movies under the stars. This summer, Virginia, D.C and Maryland are offering just that.
Bethesda Outdoor Movies is kicking off the season with "Rocky" Friday night, July 29, and "The Social Network Saturday," the 30th. Movies start at 9 p.m. on the corner of Norfolk and Auburn avenues.
National Harbour in Prince George's County is airing outdoor films through September. Friday nights are date-night movies. Sunday films are family-oriented movies.
In D.C., Screen On The Green shows films every Monday in August. The listings include "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" Aug. 1, "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" Aug. 8 and "Cool Hand Luke" Aug. 15.
Saturday nights are for kids in Centreville, Va. with an animated line up featuring "Despicable Me," "How to Train Your Dragon" and "Shrek Forever After."
Please don't forget bug spray. Mosquitoes carrying West Nile Virus are now in our area.
