WASHINGTON -- New mobile apps make buying a car easier by putting cost-saving information at your fingertips.
Websites such as Edmunds, Kelly Blue Book and Cars.com offer applications to check the full price of owning a vehicle. This includes taxes, interest, insurance, gas and even maintenance. Users also can configure searches to specific requirements and find local dealers with the best incentives.
Currently, those apps provide more information for new cars than used.
If you are in the market for a pre-owned vehicle, try Craigslist's apps, which give a heads up when a used car is available both in your area and in your price range.
For current car owners, Mademan.com breaks down the top 10 best apps for keeping vehicles in good condition.
