Harris Teeter to offer a year of free groceries

WASHINGTON - Attention shoppers, you have the chance to win free groceries.
Harris Teeter is launching its Madness March Giveaway, a promotion to encourage shoppers to become a member of the chain's e-VIC program. The e-mail promotion alerts customers about sales, sends coupons and provides an online shopping list.
Anybody who registers for the program will be entered into a sweepstakes to win a year of free groceries.
Shoppers, who registered prior to March 1, 2011, are automatically entered.
The winner will be notified by phone and rewarded with 104, $50 Harris Teeter gift cards.
