WASHINGTON -- Going to the movies has gotten so expensive, even matinees might not seem worth it.

But the personal finance site WalletPop suggests a few ways to keep from paying full price.

Get an Entertainment Book. For $35, it includes several two-for-one ticket coupons. Use four, and the book pays for itself.

Or get a Happy Hour Card. It'll knock the ticket price to $7.75 at AMC, or $7.25 at Regal.

The card itself costs $50, so paying off that up-front cost will take a little longer.
