CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) -- The removal of unstable soil from Afton Mountain could cause congestion and delays on Interstate 64 between Charlottesville and Waynesboro.
The Virginia Department of Transportation says traffic in both directions will be intermittently restricted for 30 to 45 minutes beginning at 9 a.m. Monday. The restrictions will end between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Traffic restrictions will continue through Thursday.
VDOT is encouraging passenger vehicles to use Route 250.
