WASHINGTON -- As the D.C. Department of Transportation kicks off its potholepalooza campaign this year, the agency is offering a new tool to track which craters have been smoothed over.
DDOT says it will patch the holes within 48 hours compared to the normal 72-hour window.
DDOT started the program in 2009 and it's been successful ever since.
"We've filled 19,000 potholes over the first three potholepalooza campaigns," says DDOT spokesperson John Lisle.
