WASHINGTON - The northbound lanes of the George Washington Parkway near Spout Run Parkway have reopened.

The lanes had been blocked since Thursday afternoon due to rocks and debris in the roadway, which caused problems for the evening commute home.

The Virginia Department of Transportation is temporarily lifted HOV restrictions on I-66 inside the Capital Beltway during the closure.
