Driver for Subway contractor accused of break-ins

ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (AP) — Howard County Police have charged a delivery driver for a contractor with Subway with burglarizing several of the fast-food restaurants.

Thirty-nine-year-old Demond Woodson of Columbia was arrested Monday and charged with multiple counts of burglary, theft and malicious destruction of property.

Police say Woodson broke into seven Subway restaurants in Howard County from December to May. Officers say he broke out the front glass door with a small tool, and once inside, would steal money from registers or steal entire cash drawers.

Detectives believe Woodson may be involved in burglaries in surrounding jurisdictions.
