ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (AP) -- A two-mile weekend race in Ellicott City will be held to honor two teens killed last year when a coal train derailed in the city.
The "2 Miles for 2 Hearts" memorial run will be held Saturday beginning at 8:30 a.m.
The run is being held in honor of 19-year-olds Elizabeth Nass and Rose Mayr. The two college students were sitting on a railroad bridge and died last Aug. 20 when they were buried under coal that spilled from a derailed car. Nass attended James Madison University in Virginia. Mayr was a nursing student at the University of Delaware.
