My love and passion of weather lead me to California University of Pennsylvania where I graduated with my degree in Earth Science with a concentration in Broadcast Meteorology.
I began my career at WHAG-TV NBC25 Hagerstown, Maryland in 2004 not far from where I grew up in Maryland. From there I packed my belongings and made the move to sunny Fort Myers, Florida where I worked for WBBH-TV NBC2. In February of 2008, I returned to home to work at WJLA-TV and NewsChannel8 in Washington, DC where I am currently the main radio Meteorologist on WTOP radio and fill-in TV Meteorologist.
As an American Meteorological Seal (AMS) holder and with over 8 years of broadcasting and forecasting experience, ranging from hurricanes to blizzards, my passion and love for weather has only grown stronger with time. While it's my duty to deliver the most accurate forecast and information each day, I also aim to do so in an easy to understand, conversational and personal way.
My devotion to the job does not stop when I am not on camera or in front of a microphone. I also interact with the public through social media such as Facebook and Twitter, Blogging, and other new technology in an effort to increase viewer loyalty and as a means of relaying important weather information. Additionally, I make it a point to interact with the public face to face whenever possible through school visits and events.
