Black Friday Deals You Won’t Want to Miss

This year, Black Friday began a week early. Stores have outdone themselves with the bargains, with many stores offering pre-Black Friday offers early in an attempt to lure in shoppers. In addition to the early sales, many stores will open earlier than ever on Thanksgiving! It is all adding up to create one of the craziest shopping seasons I have ever seen.

Of course, hours aside, the holiday shopping season would be nothing without amazing sales, so if bargains are what you seek, below you will find some of the best deals to be found at three of the biggest chain stores this Black Friday.

Best Buy:

This electronics superstore is doubling down on great deals for Black Friday. Some of the best deals include the 13.3″ Apple MacBook Pro marked down to $899.99 (normally $1,099.99), and the Microsoft Surface 2 is on sale for $299.99 (normally $449.99). Those wishing to upgrade their television situation may want to check out the Panasonic 50″ 1080p LED HDTV that will be on sale for $199.99, though I have a hunch they are going to sell out quickly.

Best Buy is also worth checking out for the fabulous selection of movies and video games, all of which will be drastically marked down. New movies such as Maleficent and entire seasons of The Big Bang Theory will be on sale for just $9.99, while some of the year’s newest and most popular video games will be marked down to $29.99.

Best Buy opens at 5 p.m. On Thanksgiving, but they will close again at 1 a.m. Friday and reopen at 8 a.m.

Target:

Target released its Black Friday ad a couple of weeks ago and it does not disappoint. Some of the best deals include an Element 40″ 1080p LED HDTV marked down to just $119, Beats by Dre Solo HD Headphones on sale for $97 (normally $169.99), and while the iPad Mini 3 and iPad Air aren’t on sale, when you purchase them for $399 you will receive a $100 Target gift card.

Those wishing to stock up on clothing will want to take advantage of the 40 percent off they will be offering on apparel for the entire family, which is a discount I do not believe I have seen from this store before. Also worth noting is that on Friday from 6 a.m. to noon, all Target gift cards will be 10 percent off.

Target opens at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

Walmart:

Before talking about the deals that will be available at Walmart on Black Friday, I must mention two unique things this retail giant is doing this year. Some items will be covered by a one-hour guarantee, which means that if you are waiting in line before 7 p.m. local time on Thanksgiving then you will be able to purchase the door buster deals at the promotional price, even if they have already sold out by the time you make it into the store. If the item sells out you will still need to pay that day, but then you will be given a voucher that will allow you to go online and have the order shipped to your local store for pick-up. Walmart’s one-hour guarantee does not apply to all items, but those items covered by the guarantee will be delivered in time for Christmas.

Walmart is rolling out three tiers of deals and door busters so it is worth taking a look at the ad to see which deals interest you the most. The first wave of deals begins at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving, followed by a second round at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving, and ending with a third round at 6 a.m. on Nov. 28.

Some of the best deals to be found at Walmart this year include the 16 GB iPad Mini with Wi-Fi marked down to $199 (a $40 savings), and you will also receive a $30 Walmart gift card with purchase. If a tablet is on your shopping list, but not necessarily an iPad, the RCA 7″ Google Play Wi-Fi Tablet will be on sale for just $29. DVDs will be marked down to as little as $1.96 each while newer movies will cost $7.96 and entire seasons of television shows will be on sale for $9.96. Walmart will also offer incredible discounts on toys, kid’s clothing, and home items, such as the Dyson DC33 Multi-floor Bagless Upright Vacuum that will be on sale for $199, a $150 savings.

Walmart opens at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

While Best Buy, Target and Walmart offer some of the biggest discounts on Black Friday, it is certainly worth comparing the deals at other stores to see what may be available. In particular, be sure to check Amazon because they have Black Friday deals running all week long. Please note, however, that Amazon’s deals are only available for a short amount of time and tend to sell out quickly because the prices are so low. In addition to Amazon, many stores will be offering the exact same deals online as they will be in-stores (with the exception of the door busters, of course), so just log onto your favorite store’s website if you want to avoid the Black Friday crowds.
