Prince George’s County officer charged with leaving D.C. accident

WASHINGTON — A Prince George’s County police officer has been charged by the D.C.
police with leaving the scene of an accident.

Mark Samuels-Thompson was arrested and charged on Sunday, the Prince George’s police
say. Samuels-Thompson was off duty when he was arrested, and his police powers had
already been suspended in an unrelated internal matter.

The county police say that he faces an administrative hearing and possible
termination.

They add that he was not driving a department vehicle in the accident, and that no
one was hurt in the incident.
