Turn in your gun and get a gift card this Saturday

WASHINGTON — Prince George’s County police will be accepting unwanted guns in exchange for gift cards this holiday season.

Participants will receive up to $150 in gift cards.

“It is important we continue to be proactive in getting guns off our streets,” says Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Angela Alsobrooks.

“Programs like Gift Cards for Guns will help the county continue its downward crime trend.”

The firearms do not need to be functional and unwanted ammunition will also be accepted. The exchange takes place Saturday, Dec. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden in Landover, Md.
